Founder - Clearview Justice Training & Consulting
I am a retired state law enforcement officer with more than 25 years of experience. For 16 of those years, I served as a Senior Instructor in the Advanced Behavioral Science Unit at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, where I provided training to more than 12,000 law enforcement officers each year.
My areas of expertise include domestic violence, elder abuse, and strangulation assaults. During my tenure at the Academy, I served as Co-Chair of the Governor's Domestic Violence Task Force and as a statutory member of two statewide committees. I have authored several nationally published articles on domestic violence and strangulation and remain actively involved in legislative initiatives addressing domestic violence, regularly providing testimony before the South Carolina General Assembly.
I am also a frequent guest on true crime television programs, where I provide expert commentary on strangulation-related assaults and homicide investigations.
Currently, I am researching and validating a forensic concept I developed that explores the use of emerging forensic technologies to document hidden injuries caused by assault—an application that has not previously been investigated.
